Project Overview

ReceptivaDX initially came to RadiateWP as a management and support client. Their company is charged with marketing a diagnostic test that assists families struggling with infertility. The first goal for this site is to educate the user about the product and the second goal is to connect the user with the diagnostic test.

Before

After

It was difficult to find the information on the site and there were different elements on the page that were not accessible according to the WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

A newly designed navigation system makes it easier for the user to find what they are looking for on the site. The site has improved accessibility including color contrast.

Challenges

  • The site had two different target audiences including families struggling with infertility and medical providers.
  • The content for each of these target audiences is vastly different.
  • The brand colors for the company are light which requires thoughtful and intentional use of color to assure appropriate color contrast for accessibility purposes.

Objectives

  • Create an accessible website that is easy to use for everyone.
  • Create a navigation system that makes it easy for each audience to find the information they are looking for.
  • Provide an easy-to-use website that educates the user on the product.

Strategy

In order to help users from the two different audiences find the information that is specific to their needs, we would need to change the navigation system. The hero image was changed from a slider to a single image and different typography and button style is needed for color contrast and accessibility.

Results

With the improved navigation, a user is able to roll their mouse over the women and families button and get menu options specific to them. The same is true for when a user rolls their mouse over the healthcare professionals button.

With the Kadence Theme in use, the site is based on the native WordPress block editor and in turn delivers on performance with an excellent page load time.

In addition, the typography on the hero image uses a style that is easier to read as well as an overlay to assure the color contrast meets WCAG 2.1 standards.

A Website is Never Done

ReceptivaDX purchased one of our ongoing maintenance plans providing continuous support services allowing for continued growth and expansion of the site.

After launch, the business continued to grow into the international market and RadiateWP provided additional strategy consulting and the addition of landing pages to help accelerate the growth in this new international sphere.
